Fertile Action

Founded by the amazing Alice Crisci, Fertile Action (formerly My Vision) is a breast cancer organization for women of reproductive age that she launched just a few weeks after her own cancer diagnosis in 2008. When faced with losing her breasts, her hair, her consulting firm, her money, her boyfriend and quite possibly, the chance to become a mom, Alice practiced what she'd always preached: Vision + Action = Victory, no matter what the circumstances. Included in Alice's vision were publishing her novella "Too Young For This," which she did six weeks after her diagnosis, and preserving her fertility, which she did a couple weeks after her diagnosis. She now gifts her book to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and counsels them about freezing embryos to ensure their chance to become a mother. She is continuing to chronicle her journey as a featured columnist on the Huffington Post. Please visit Fertile Action to get info and get connected!

Save Darfur
Darfur has been embroiled in a deadly conflict for over three years. At least 400,000 people have been killed; more than 2 million innocent civilians have been forced to flee their homes and now live in displaced-persons camps in Sudan or in refugee camps in neighboring Chad; and more than 3.5 million men, women, and children are completely reliant on international aid for survival. Not since the Rwandan genocide of 1994 has the world seen such a calculated campaign of displacement, starvation, rape, and mass slaughter. This campaign is being waged by the Sudanese government-backed militia known as “Janjaweed” who are determined to wipe these innocent people of the face of the earth. Please click on the link to find out what you can do to put a stop to this genocide.
