On Stage Stands: Hands down the best most affordable equipment stands on the market. Available at most major equipment suppliers, Sam Ash, Guitar Center, etc.
Shure Microphones: I've had the same two Shure SM58 mics forever. These are the mics I use for live performances 99.9% of the time. Extremely durable and consistent. Can't be beat for the price.
Ibanez Guitars: I recently got a guitar that actually fits me! If you are girl you will understand. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have a guitar that is comfortable to play! Anyway, though Ibanez is not showing the exact model on their site this link will take you to the model family. Mine is AEG20E super slim acoustic/electric with a spruce top, on board tuner and fisher electronics, in a flame/sunburst color. It sounds and looks incredible. Check it out!
Absolute Music Studios: My loss is Florida's gain. The incredible talented Christopher Maloney has left Los Angeles and moved cross country to be near his beautiful daughter and to open a premier music lesson facility a block from the beach in Jupiter Florida. Aside from being a world class bass player he's just a great guy. They teach everything to all ages in one of the nicest facilities I've ever seen. Please check it out!
Stephanie Spruill: I studied with Stephanie when I first came to LA. She is truly amazing and lovely. She has recorded and toured with just about everyone, here are a few names you might know: Tina Turner, Barbara Streisand, Mariah Carey, Donna Summer, Julio Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Placido Domingo, Diana Ross, Billy Idol, Simply Red, Juan Gabriel, Glen Campbell, Quincy Jones, etc. Check out her site for more info.
Mark Harrison - Harrison Music Education Systems: I had the opportunity to study with Mark when I first came to LA. He is a teacher, performer and writer with many television music credits. He taught at the Grove School of Music and his instruction books are recommended by Berklee School of Music. What I really love about his books are how intuitive they are.
Patricia Bahia's Music Studio: My good friend songwriter Patricia Bahia is also a music teacher in the Los Angeles area. This is the link for her teaching studio.
Washburn Guitars: Washburn Guitars was started in Chicago in 1883 by George Washburn. I have a D11TR made in 2002. Made from Mountain Ash top, back & sides with Rosewood fingerboard and Mahogany neck. Great inexpensive acoustic guitar.
Morgan Guitars: At the NAMM show 2009 I had the opportunity to play the most beautiful guitar. It was a Morgan Guitar made from Mango Wood. It had the most beautiful sound. Someday, I'm getting one!
Couch Guitar Straps: I met these guys at the 2009 NAMM show. They create very cool guitar straps out of vintage automotive and upholstery vinyls, even old seat belts. They are also a 'green' company and made here in the US. I have a beautiful Reverse White Deadstock Flowers V2 - limited edition. These are really works of art so please check them out.
Rikky Rooksby books @ Backbeat: Rikky Rooksby has written a whole bunch of great books on songwriting and guitar playing. Some of my favorites include: Chord Master, How To Write Songs on Guitar, and the Songwriting Sourcebook. You can get his books at most bookstores.

Kristen Womack: Kristen actually saved my voice. Back in the early days, I had a "teacher" who didn't know what they were doing and I lost the top of my range. I found Kristen and we worked for 2 years to "fix" it and I've never had another problem since. She is great for all styles and is located in Northern California.
Gloria Wood: Gloria was my very first vocal coach. She is especially great with classical and broadway styles. She is located in Northern California.
Katt Shea: Though I am not an actor, many of my friends here in LA work in film and television. Katt is one of those friends. She is a director, writer, actor and member of the DGA, WGA, SAG and Motion Picture Academy. She has directed Leonardo DiCaprio, Drew Barrymore, and Christina Applegate among others. She is currently offering Cold Reading Classes as well as private coaching.
